F/W 2020

I STARTED CONCEPTUALIZING THE COLLECTION DECEMBER OF 2019 AND AS WE ENTER A NEW DECADE, THE 20’S CAME INTO MIND. THE ROARING 20’S SAW AN EXPLOSION OF ART, CULTURE, AND RACIAL PRIDE. SOCIAL CHANGE WAS EVIDENT AND ECONOMIC GROWTH WAS BOOMING.

AS SAID IN VOGUE “AFTER DARKNESS, PEOPLE CRAVED LIGHT, SPEED, FUN —“ TAKING INSPIRATION FROM THE 1920’S — RIGHT AFTER THE DARKNESS OF THE FIRST WORLD WAR AND OF THE PANDEMIC, A DECADE OF CHANGE EMERGED.

VERY TIMELY, THIS COLLECTION EXPRESSES THAT DESPITE HARD TIMES ONE MUST NOT LINGER. FASHION DOES NOT NECESSARILY HAVE TO STOP. WE MUST LOOK FORWARD.

CREATING THE MODERN FLAPPER.

A GENERATION OF YOUNG WOMEN WHO AT THE TIME OF THE 1920’S WERE REBELLIOUS IN THE WAY OF DRESSING AND PRESENTING THEMSELVES, GOING AGAINST WHAT WAS CONSIDERED ACCEPTABLE AT THE TIME.

THE MODERN FILIPINA IN MY EYES IS DRESSED UP IN CLASSICS WITH A TAILORED TWIST AND CONSTANTLY BRINGING THE FILIPINIANA INTO THE CURRENT TIMES.

NOT AFRAID TO EXPRESS HERSELF, HER INDIVIDUALITY— WITH FASHION BEING ONE OF HER OUTLETS. THESE WOMEN ARE LEADERS OF CHANGE AND ARE SYMBOLS OF CONFIDENCE. FILLED WITH A STRONG PERSONALITY, ATTITUDE, AND A WHOLE LOT OF CHARISMA.
